To provide delegates with a detailed knowledge of the background, key concepts, structure and terminology used in the PRINCE2® 2009 Edition project management method and an ability to apply the approach.

Course Details

To provide delegates with a detailed knowledge of the background, key concepts, structure and terminology used in the PRINCE2® project management method and an ability to apply the approach.

To prepare them to sit the PRINCE2® Foundation examination, held on the third day and for the Practitioner examination, held on the morning of the fifth day.

The course is designed for existing and potential Project Managers, needing to gain the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner qualification. Please note that examinations are the responsibility of the examination board, APMG.

Prerequisites

  • You must bring signed photo ID with you on exam days (passport/driving licence) as you will be asked to provide it by the invigilator prior to the exam.

 

Delegates should note the following:-

  • You are advised to undertake some pre-course preparation/ reading
  • You are advised be prepared to undertake some evening work in your own time, during the course
  • It is essential that you bring photo ID with you to enable you to take each of the two examinations
  • It is also recommended that you bring along sticky page markers to mark up the manual

 

Please remember if you require special dispensations or arrangements for the exam and course, it is important that you let us know at the time of booking your course to ensure that arrangements can be made with the examining body.

Please note that the examination body will require you to provide signed, medical evidence before dispensation can be granted.

Examination information

Foundation Examination – the first level of PRINCE2 qualification, this examination will be held on the afternoon of Day 3:

  • 75 multiple choice questions, including 5 non-scoring ‘trial’ questions
  • 1 hour to answer
  • 50% required to pass – 35/70
  • No reference material permitted

 

Practitioner Examination – the second level of PRINCE2 qualification, this scenario based examination will be held on Day 5:

 

– 8 “Objective Assessment”’ questions often referred to as “complex multiple choice   questions”

– each question is worth 10 marks

– all questions to be attempted

– 2.5 hours to answer

– 55% required to pass – 44/80

– PRINCE2 reference manual (only) permitted
